Dakar, May 20 2012

Organized by Kër Thiossane, Afropixel is the first African festival dedicated to digital arts. Thiossane Kër is an association (NGO) which aims to encourage the cultural creation and expression , especially with new technologies and new media.

Ker Thiossane starts its operations in May 2002. With the support of the Canadian foundation of science and new technologies “Daniel Langlois”, it opens in Dakar in September 2003, a new digital public space, in order to provide activities more important than the simply consumation of the Internet.

Based in a private mansion located in the district of Sicap Liberté II, this area is a place dedicated to social innovation and artistic work in the field of Arts, Culture and Communication.
